Individual help

The immigration process of Arabic people can be very complicated, while returning to their home country isn’t in a lot of cases a realistic option because of prosecution. We can help in the complicated juridical procedures by looking for a lawyer or to support in communicating to the IND. Either we give support in other things like housing, debt problems, social security etc. In the area of marriage problems and/or issues in the family we also can give support.

Arabic churches

Besides the social work we also desire to give Arabic Christians a spiritual home. In several cities in Holland Arabic Christians are gathering weekly in Arabic churches. As a foundation we are especially focused on evangelical Arabic churches. These meeting are just in the Arabic language. That’s why they are very appropriate for Arabic Christians and other interested Arabic speaking people. We like to direct Arabic Christians to those places. As a foundation we want to support those churches and to strengthen the contacts among those churches.

Joining Dutch churches

Of course it is a good thing when Arabic Christians will join Dutch churches. This is often possible besides joining an Arabic church.  By joining a Dutch church Arabic Christians are also integrating in the Dutch society. A serious threshold to visit a Dutch church is often the language. Translation can make it easier for them to join. Meanwhile Dutch Christians can learn from the Christian tradition in the Arabic culture. And.. Salam4u wants to make a way for Arabic Christians in our Dutch society. As well practical as spiritual. We believe these things can’t be separated. Last but not least we want to make Dutch Christians more conscious about Arabic Christians in our country. We work on this goal by giving information about the Arabic Christians and their background. We are looking forward to see how more Arabic Christians in Holland find their way in the midst of their brothers and sisters in Holland.
